Kate came up with this contraption today--it's her baby stroller folded down with her step stool upside down on top. Then she sat in it and called it her Jeep. She kept saying "I'm Diego!" (Diego in her show has a Jeep.)

New Scooters
Kate loves Lili's scooter when we visit Jill's house, so I figured it was time to get her one of her own. Grant decided he'd like a scooter, too. To my surprise, Kate doesn't care to ride hers much and Grant loves his. She was more interested in posing for pictures than actually riding it.
Playing at the Park
We brought Grant's truck to the park to use in the sand. At some point, the kids decided it was more fun to use as a ride. Grant got on and Kate pushed him all over the park. It was so cute.
Grant's Handiwork
The kids disappeared while I was getting ready one morning. They burst into my room and were so proud of what they'd come up with. Grant had put almost all of Kate's hair flowers all over her head. It was quite impressive, actually. It resembled an old time bathing cap.
School
I got Kate a handwriting workbook that looks like Grant's and she was SO excited to get to do school with him. I hope her excitement lasts!
Trip to Monterey
Nate and his dad were planning to go to a race in Monterey in early September. Nate invited me and the kids to come along so we did!
Headed to dinner with Papa with a Beard
After dinner, we needed a little calming down time before bed. The kids watched Dora on the iPad.
The kids' new sleeping bags arrived just in time. They loved them.
While Nate and his dad were at the race, we went to the Monterey Bay Aquarium. We saw all kinds of cool things.
At the end of the day, they picked out souvenirs. Grant got a hammerhead shark and Kate chose a sea otter...which she insisted was a beaver.
