New Skills

We've been working on our table skills. Well, HIS table skills. Dressing for dinner will be a lesson for another week.

It doesn't look like it, but a lot actually made it into his mouth. He started with his right hand and ended with his left. He's still deciding if he's a righty or a lefty.

Such a good job!

My Bike!

We were going to get Grant a little "bike" for his birthday, but we got it a little early so he could practice. He thought it was pretty cool.

Dad helped him learn how to work the pedals.

This is so much fun!

Mini Wheats

We like to snack on Mini Wheats cereal. Grant asked for one the other day and I was shocked that he ate it...and came back for more! Somehow they don't seem like something a kid would choose. This is what he looks like when he's working on one.

Daddy's Helper

Nate got the fun job of vacuuming up the packing material from one of his gifts. Grant, who is normally afraid of the vacuum, was very excited to help by bringing the pieces as close as he could.

Happy Birthday, Nate!

Happy Birthday, Nate! We love you!

Grant helped open gifts.
He had such a good time in all the mess.
This was Grant's first taste of birthday cake. He would never try it in the past. He was a big fan and ran around like crazy all night.

Fun at the Park

We had fun at the park today, playing and meeting new people.

On the way out, Grant thought it would be funny to ride with the bucket on his head. He stayed that way all the way to the car. So silly. The bucket on the head is his favorite "trick" right now. He gets lots of laughs out of it so he's milking it for all it's worth.

My First Korean-American Meal!

I made my first attempt at a Korean meal last night: Bulgogi with Sesame Rice Noodles. It got rave reviews from everyone! Normally, Grant is not a big fan of meat but he loved the Korean steak. We're going to try to add more Korean recipes to our repertoire.

New Shoes

Grant still loves shoes. He was very excited when a new pair arrived. He carried them around, tried to put them on, and gave them a big hug!

Pumpkin Patch

This weekend we visited Lombardi Ranch. It was such a beautiful day!

Nate found a great pumpkin right away.

Grant was impressed with the huge jack-o-lantern, but didn't want to go inside.

Grant found a dried up piece of cactus (according the the lady who worked there) and carried it around as he perused the pumpkins.

Scary Shark Tent

We got out Grant's shark tent the other night. He didn't want to go inside...he would just shake the instructions at it.

Visiting Grandma and Timmy

On Tuesday we visited Grandma and Timmy.

Grandma helped Grant open Timmy's Spiderman lunchbox full of toys.

Grant found Kegan's doll stroller. We put a stuffed toy in there for him to push around but he grabbed it and threw it out...then filled the stroller with blocks and "boy" toys. Apparently it's not a stroller but a special vehicle for moving building materials.

After lunch, we built a big pen for the plastic animals.

Everyone took a turn tickling Tim-Tims.

Aaah, the fun of demolition. The boys had a good time rolling on the blocks...kind of like making snow angels, but much louder.
