Snake
Grant was out riding his bike today and I heard a rustling in the bushes. I looked down and saw one of these guys slithering around. I'd never seen such a big snake out in the "wild" before. Grant wanted to go back and see it again, but I decided we should go inside and make sure it wasn't dangerous. He said he wants to "show Grandma" when they go on their walks next week. I think it's one sight she'll be happy to miss.

Visit to Gramma and Papa's
Last week we visited Nate's family. It had been almost a year since we'd been there for a visit, and we had a great time. Grant was SO EXCITED the whole time and was almost literally bouncing off of the walls. He loved playing with his cousin Ella. They would giggle and squeal at the top of their lungs and chase each other around the house.
On Saturday, we celebrated Grant's 3rd Gotcha Day! I can't believe he's been part of our family for 3 years already. Time flies! We had a space themed party and were thrilled to get to celebrate with family. The pinata was a bit of a disaster. Grant didn't care too much about hitting it, then got hit in the face with a piece of the stick we were using, then finally broke down completely when Nate finally broke it open. You had to be there to really appreciate how funny it was...we were all laughing so hard.

THE Three Questions
There are only three questions, and I hear them about a thousand times a day.
"What this called, Mommy? Where came from, Mommy? Where going, Mommy?" Always the same questions, no variations...ever. He never fails to add the Mommy to the end, even if he's asking Nate. Thousands of times a day. If I don't answer immediately, the question is just repeated over and over again until it's finally answered. And if he doesn't believe my answer, it just keeps going. It's very cute, but some days I just have to say, "I don't know...no more questions for a while." I just needed to get that off my chest.
